We often receive questions about the meaning of our logo. At first glance, the logo is evocative of a microbiological plate – but there’s much more to be seen. Our logo was designed with the Center’s goals and activities in mind. The four sections of the circle represent the four arms of our Center: education, consulting, Duke Hospital services, and research. The content within the circle is intended to represent several areas of importance for our Center: populations, our networks, and, of course, microorganisms. Finally, the content within the circle represents the members of our Center, all working together to make the four arms of the Center successful. Ultimately, we are proud of our logo and what it represents.
