Fellowship Training

Faculty in the Center have a long track record of training infectious diseases and pharmacy fellows in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Duke University. In addition, our faculty have also worked with international fellows. Each year, the Center typically hosts 1-2 fellows to learn practical healthcare epidemiology and antimicrobial stewardship practices while gaining experience in the latest research methods. To date, more than 20 infectious diseases fellows, 3 international fellows, and 1 pharmacy fellow have completed the program.

Some of the many exceptional research projects our fellows have conducted in collaboration with Center faculty have included investigations into the use of regional antibiograms by community hospitals, management of fungemia infections, and the visualization of inpatient C. difficile transmission events.
