The Center is composed of several programs that work both within the Duke University Health System and in community hospitals across the country.
Our consulting work is led by the Duke Infection Control Outreach Network (DICON) and the Duke Antimicrobial Stewardship Outreach Network (DASON), which work with community healthcare facilities to improve patient safety and care quality in the areas of infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship, respectively.
Within the Duke University Health System, our infection control work is led by the Duke Department of Infection Prevention and Hospital Epidemiology. The Duke University Antimicrobial Stewardship and Evaluation Team promotes the responsible and appropriate use of antimicrobial therapy system-wide.
